Facility
The most significant assistance we provide for our clients is free shelter. Rio Hondo Temporary Home is a two-story dormitory-like building located in the safe and well-secured grounds of the Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, California. Composed of twenty-five different sized rooms, we are able to accommodate up to eighty-five family members. Other support services that we provide include child care, food service, and case management. This array of services is vital to our mission to secure permanent housing for our clients. Food Service
Our clients are provided with three nutritious meals a day completely free of charge. This program will help them in saving their income while staying at our facility. In addition to purchasing food items from local vendors, we also procure food from the L.A. Regional Food Bank. Local churches, private organizations, individuals, and major grocery stores also donate food or sponsor meals for our clients.
