Child Care Center- Departmental Letter

Rio Hondo Temporary Home’s Child Care Center opens its doors at 7:00 am from Monday to Friday and provides a warm welcome to each family. The department is comprised of four staff members who provide a safe and caring environment for the children. Each staff brings their own touch of personality, experience and ideas to the program. Staff transports the school age children to and from school that are located in our local school district. At the Child Care Center, we guide and prepare the infant and toddlers in their developmental milestones, by strengthening their fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social skills. We provide a high quality and enriched child care program. There are many rewarding experiences as staff cares for the children in the Child Care Center. One of the experiences would be seeing a one year old child flourish within a year after seeing the child being afraid of water, only communicating by way of grunting and having not yet walked.

At this time, we are so proud of three children who successfully completed potty training. We have four more children that are being potty trained and are progressing well. During snack time, there are six children that have successfully learned to use spoons and forks without spilling their food. We have enjoyed watching the development of all the children from the time they enter to the time they leave the program. We feel a great sense of gratitude of what the children has brought to us in return.

There is never a dull moment at Rio Hondo Temporary Home’s Child Care Center.

Sincerely,

Child Care Center Staff
