Why give to the Rio Hondo Temporary Home?
For 20 years, the Rio Hondo Temporary Home (RHTH) has dedicated itself to providing hundreds of homeless families with children in Southeastern Los Angeles County with a positive pathways towards the future. RHTH has developed over the years in providing a full array of client supported services towards the goal of family housing permanency.
Yet, even with modest increases in private support we have been unable to offset the impact of decreasing government funding available to us for services. RHTH is engaged in an annual giving campaign specifically created to help our families to:
- Lessen our dependence on government funding for vital services and goods, and
- Sustain and maintain control over the quality of our programs.
Your donations will cover a range of RHTH’s needs. Our services require financial support in order to:
- Hire the very best professional staff
- Maintain a quality facility for families to live and thrive
- Develop the quality programs and services to meet the needs of homeless families with children, and
- Provide assistance and training to help parents get back on their feet and move proactively towards the future.
